Yoga is an ancient practice that originated in India 5,000 years ago. The word yoga is a Sanskrit word, which translates to mean “union” between mind, body and spirit. Yoga practice comprises of asanas, breath work and meditation. Asanas are yoga postures that provide gentle stretching to lubricate the joints, muscles, ligaments, tendons and other parts of the body. Yoga helps to strengthen and tone the body, improve the flow of energy and circulation, and release tension and energy blockages.

Yoga retreats are indeed perfect locations for those looking for peace, quiet, privacy. Interestingly enough, it is a secluded place synonymous with shelter. Here you can take pleasure in the silence accompanied only by the sound of nature. Mental exercises are extremely important because they lead to a purging of the soul and clearing of the mind.
Yoga Retreats
Yoga exercises can be associated with Pranayama (breathing exercises) to achieve the overall effect of calming your nervous system. All these exercises are supervised and guided by professional yoga teachers, when you are on our Yoga Holidays, that are familiar with sacred therapeutic techniques. People are helped to reach balance between their body and spirit, between nature and self. First and foremost luxury yoga retreats are meant to heal. That is why they offer many programs and therapeutic packages which may consist of yoga exercises, various treatments for detoxification, addiction and weight loss, consultations by health experts. In the end you become friends with your body, mind, with nature and a philosophy of relaxation that makes us happier, kinder, more conscious and restores our energy.
